Y4iT the 13th: Are You Ready?

The biggest IT event in the country is ready to soar to greater heights as the Youth Congress on Information Technology (Y4iT), organized by the UP System Information Technology Foundation (UPSITF), returns for its 13th year on September 9 to 11 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

Flocked by over 25,000 college students, professionals, educators, IT experts and enthusiasts from all over the country, the annual event has consistently served as a melting pot of the best minds in the industry. It has helped create a bridge for industry leaders and authorities to connect with and inspire the future of IT. Through the fusion of these minds, Y4iT fuels an exchange of ideas that encourages individuals to build on the acquired knowledge and rise against current challenges through the use of information technology.

This year’s theme, “Y4iT the 13th: Are You Ready?” dares the Filipino youth to brave the unknown. In the dynamic world of IT today, individuals may have the skills and potential needed, but are they confident to take the next step? Y4iT poses this challenge, together with its objective of inspiring the youth and recognizing them as key drivers in the Information Technology industry.

Once again, the three-day congress is set to offer its participants with only the freshest and hottest topics in IT, as Y4iT creates a venue to discover and evaluate new technologies, introduce latest breakthroughs, discuss current ICT trends, and even open career opportunities.

Y4iT, formerly known as the Philippine Youth Congress on Information Technology, was established in 2003 and began with only 5,000 attendees at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. With increasing demand through the years, as participants benefit from the congress, Y4iT has gone on to be at the forefront of information technology gathering events in the Philippines. In November 2012, UPSITF held its first Y4iT outside of Luzon, Y4iT Cebu.
